My Favorite Online Book Clubs

Are you in a book club? It can be hard to find a good local book club, especially if you live in a small town like I do. Online book clubs can be a great alternative if you can’t find a local book club that works for you. Thankfully, I’ve found two fantastic online book clubs.

Literary Madness & The People Who Follow It

Led by one of my favorite authors, Jaime Jo Wright, Literary Madness is mainly active on Instagram. This group reads a mix of gothic, romance, Christian fiction, and mainstream. I absolutely loved the April pick – The Vanishing at Loxby Manor by Abigail Wilson. I’ve also read The Thief of Blackfriar’s Lane by Michelle Griep with them earlier this year. You can find the group here: https://www.instagram.com/madlitbookclub/

What the Dickens

This fun group is led by three great authors: Kristy Cambron, Katherine Reay, and Sarah Ladd. This group focuses on classics. There are so many great discussions here, from companion books for the current read to the best movie version. There are also quite a few giveaways. This month, they’re reading Vilette by Charlotte Bronte, and in June, they will read The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. July’s book is North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. The group meets in a private Facebook group. You can request to join here: https://m.facebook.com/groups/148142782575484?group_view_referrer=search

Are you in any online book clubs? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
